Anna Cho is an artist based in New York and Seoul. She earned her B.F.A. in Studio Art from NYU in 2019 with a concentration in painting. Using various media, she experiments with paper, layering and reassembling fragments into a composition. Her work appreciates the unseen uniqueness of everyday surroundings and the quiet yet warm intimacy of human connections. Cho pieces together small comforts and fleeting moments, offering visual representations of the meaning of “home.” Cho invites viewers to pause, observe, and reflect on the subtle passing of time. She explores the tension between rootedness and transience through repeated imagery and slow-moving visual narratives. This process-driven approach results in storyboard-like series that unfold gradually, sometimes remaining still, unified by rhythm and restraint. Her works are presented at eye level or in book form, encouraging close and contemplative engagement. Cho’s work has been exhibited in both New York and Seoul.
